He watches her turn yet another page. Resentment fills him up. He wants to grab the book, tear it and throw it away. What’s wrong with her? Bet she’s waiting for me to grovel. Well NEWS flash darling: I’m not going to. Not this time. If she wants to make up, she can go first. He goes back to flipping channels. She looks up from her book to the 100 fleeting channels. Resentment fills her up. She wants to grab the remote and smash it against the wall. What is it with him? Always, always the same story. But she has made up her mind, she isn’t going to apologise, not unless he does. Why should I go first? Let him start, for a change. She goes back to staring at her book. The TV continues to blare.
